The City of Fayetteville will host an open house for the biosolids drying facility from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event celebrates the completion of six solar houses and a thermal dryer installation. The new drying facility converts wastewater biological residuals to fertilizer that is ideal for landscape, garden or farm. This is the first facility in Arkansas, if not in the United States, that employs both technologies to produce beneficial reuse fertilizer.
