Omni Omni UA present the ‘Speak for the Trees’- Concert and Art Exhibit Auction on Saturday, April 21, 7 p.m. at the University of Arkansas Global Campus auditorium (on the Fayetteville square, 2 E. Center St.).  50 local artists have created ‘Speak for the Trees’ artwork, which will be exhibited during the event.  The art will be sold by silent auction at this event.  Social hour is at 6 p.m. to view and bid on the artwork.
At 8:00, Still on the Hill will host a ‘Concert for the Trees’ featuring all new ‘tree songs’ by Donna Stjerna along with special guest musicians including Susan Shore and Michael Cockram, Dan Dean and Laura Kelley, Guy Ames, Ginny Gerber, Poets Leigh Wilkerson and Geoff Oelsner, and performance artist, John Smith.  The ‘gala event’ on the eve of Earth Day!  After the concert, the final bidding will take place and all the shrines can be taken home that night.
The concert has a suggested donation of $10 ($5 for students/kids under 12 free) and all proceeds will go to fund efforts to rescue the Ozark Chinquapin Chestnut in Arkansas.
